My favorite writers within the speculative fiction genre are George RR Martin, China Mieville, Paolo Bacigalupi, Alastair Reynolds, Roger Zelazny, Dan Simmons, R. Scott Bakker, Elizabeth Bear, Iain Banks . . . . all right, the more names I write the more keep popping into my head so I'll stop there.
