Definitely on the Rias bit yeah, so the fact that THAT's what people go is pretty damning. I recall reading something on fanfics that's like that of Emiya Shirou from the Type Moon Fate series. IDK how true this is, but I read that people make out he was some sort of righteous and justice preaching guy when there was more to the character than that... anyways, yeah I just don't get it either with that one bit...
Yeah...definitely. Granted I have one story so far that DOES have him but he's not the MC, just a way to MAYBE get him tolerated although I do agree, his character can be super triggering from all I've seen. I probably will make one that doesn't have him at all or just don't get him involved but not for a while if it comes up again in mind.
Oh this, definitely. It's a really bad case of early installment weirdness but also the author not really doing a good job keeping things consistent ish enough. Especially when you know that out of the earliest volumes before the 3 Factions allied with each other, two of them had the Fallen involved that if things didn't go as Azazel put it, DxD from that point on would have gone completely different. It also doesn't help knowing that in Slash/Dog, Grigori already took in several people with Sacred Gears so it makes the earliest volumes even more wack in line with the rest of the (probably barely coherent) story.
