Alyssa Cooper

My name is Alyssa, and I've always had a fascination with the darker side of fiction. 

Born and raised in Belleville, Ontario, I'm currently living in Kingston with a personal library and my collection of vintage typewriters.

My obsession with the written word started early. From the very first picture books, I was hooked. My first publication came in 2008, when I was only eighteen years old - that year, I had two poems included in two anthologies, and I was sure I was well on my way to stardom. Since then, I've been featured in countless magazines, anthologies, and journals, and I've worked with three publishers to release two novels, two novellas, and a collection of poetry - but, needless to say, I'm not famous yet.

This summer, I took the plunge into self-publishing, releasing three novellas and a short story collection in less than four months - and I'm absolutely loving it. 

My latest project is inspired by a local legend from Peterborough Ontario, which has been called the most haunted city in Canada. Called The Witches of Armour Hill, it will follow the life of witch coven descended from a woman who was burned alive in 1840.
