Welcome to the Anderland! The universe created from the "brains" of Gerry Anderson. Anderson was born on 14th April 1929 in London. Although he suffered a troubled upbringing, such as his brother Lionel being killed in the Royal Air Force during the war, he was the mastermind behind some of the finest television programs produced in the history of filmmaking. A hard-working editor and director in the film industry, Anderson formed his own film-making company AP Films. 

Faced with being typecast in making only puppet series, his success peaked in the 1960s with the iconic SUPERMARIONATION productions produced for Sir Lew Grade's ITC Entertainment. By the 1970s, Anderson was working with live actors, but after he was no longer to be funded by ITC, Anderson's career declined but was able to produce exciting new programs in the 1980s and 1990s. He was a dedicated, driven, and creative producer who worked in the film industry virtually until his death on 26th December 2012.

Millions around the world have come to adore his shows internationally. His works span the likes of Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, Space: 1999, UFO, Stingray, and Joe 90. Gerry Anderson's pioneering productions have influenced countless individuals, and film series through groundbreaking visual effects such as James Bond, Star Wars, Alien, and 2001: A Space Odyssey.
