Salaam/hello,
For those of you that live in the US and are witnessing all that is happening, please help in any way you can. If you are joining the peaceful protests, make sure to stay safe and keep your masks and gloves on, we are still dealing with Covid-19. For those of you who can't join, please donate to the organizations and Nonprofits that are doing the hard needed work. I can't even express just how sad/angry/hurt/and fed up I have been with everything going on. The lives of innocent black folks are being taken left and right and our Muslim communities are silent.
          	Why?
When as Muslims we are commanded to speak out against injustice and to fight it. The Prophet(peace and blessing be upon him) was sent to eradicate the injustice taking place in Mecca. to fight injustice is his sunnah.
Why is it so hard for non-African American Muslims to see the pain of the African American communities?
          	To see and stay silent.
If you can't see their pain...who will see yours and ours. As a black, East African, Muslim women, I feel the pain, I hurt, and I need to do better. I can't stay silent and turn a blind eye.
Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change themselves. We scream and yell about the injustice we as Muslims face in America, while we turn our backs to the injustice others face in that same country. We scream at the world to see the pain and suffering of our Muslim sister and brothers across the world. But we can't even bring ourselves to say anything for the pain and suffering of others.
We can't stay silent. Allah will ask us on the day of judgment where we were when all this was taking place. So ask yourself right now, where were you when you witnessed the injustice taking place...and what did you do?

SalamThank you for speaking up. This is what we need more of in this world. During this time, it has definitely been an emotional train wreck with all the tragedies happening one after one, however all of this has definitely been an eye opener for a lot of us. Protesting is how I’ll show my support and signing the petitions for George Floyd, Sean Reed, Breonna Taylor, and others affected by police brutality(murder). Hope more people get involved however they are able to✨

Hello Asiya ! Salaam alaikum. I had read your book ' Mistaken Perception' years ago and was intending to buy it if it was published. I do see the story is posted again , but it's a bit different . Do you have a copy of the first version? Would love to buy it or read it here if available. Stay blessed, sister ❤

Salaam sis ❤️ it warms my heart that my teenage rambling had such an effect on you, I loved the original as well. But unfortunately I don’t have the original any longer. I was only able to save the first few chapters, when that old computer succumbed to his death. If I still had the original I would truly share it. But nevertheless , I hope you’ll give the new version a try and let me know how it matches up
            Salaam-
