          How are you? Looking forward to Halloween?
          
          Thank you everyone for your support of all my Harry Potter stories, I'm glad that people are still enjoying them.
          
          This is a message to let you know that I've created a second account as my writer alter-ego - @goodknightjosie 
          
          ("pen-name" is boring, "alter-ego" makes me feel like a superhero)
          
          On that account I'll be posting my original stories. When I get to writing them, that is. With NaNoWriMo coming up I'll hopefully get some chapters ready to post. Fingers crossed!
          
          I figure that anyone who ends up on THIS account is actively looking for HP fics, and probably specifically for Dramione. I worry that people looking for original fiction might not want to be faced with HP content. That's why I'm separating the two.
          
          Plus I need to build my alter-ego's writer platform.

Sorry if anyone has been spammed with notifications about my stories updating - especially those of you who are awaiting new chapters. I've been adding the following disclaimer to each of my fanfics -
          
          1. The original author of the Wizarding World is acting increasingly hurtfully towards our trans siblings. This is not acceptable. I want no part of such close-mindedness or hatred. I understand that she has been problematic for a long time now. I can only apologise that it has taken such open hostility for me to really pay attention. I should have listened sooner to those she was hurting. I will do better.
          
          2. Hermione in my stories is a Black woman. As much as I enjoyed Emma Watson's performance, I have a greater love for Black Hermione (as seen in some wonderful fanarts, fanfics, and the Cursed Child play). I reserve the right to delete any comments complaining about this.
          
          3. NONE of this is up for debate. I do not wish to discuss either of the above points. Any comments that are arguing or complaining, will be deleted. This profile is a place of love, inclusion and celebration. I will report any profiles that post hateful comments. Hatefulness has no place on Wattpad, and I will not tolerate it.
          
          4. I seriously considered taking down my stories, as I am concerned about the harm they may cause to communities that are already hurting. Ultimately, I decided that as long as people are finding joy in them, then they will stay up. If anything within them causes pain, please feel free to message me and I will address that as soon as I can.
          
          I hope that you find something in my stories that you connect with, and I hope that you are able to feel seen within the world of fanfics.

          Seems you're a Draco fan too. Just wanted to say that I loved the way you kept the small details of both the stories in your fanfic "Cursed." Your concept was literally very interesting and intriguing. Overall, you did a great job. Keep writing more about Draco and Hermione. All the love and support.

I’ve started writing this announcement & deleted it more than once. I tend to have the opinion that hatefulness should not have attention brought to it, but I’ve decided to make an exception.
          
          Earlier today, a comment was left on one of my stories, regarding my casting Hermione as a Black woman.
          
          I receive pushback from Emma Watson fans fairly regularly on this. It’s tiresome, but I generally reply explaining my love for Black Hermione. Until now, these comments have been respectful, although disappointing.
          
          Today, however, the comment was unacceptable. Sadly, I had to leave it visible for a couple of hours, as I encountered a bug trying to report it. Luckily I had quick responses from Wattpad as I navigated the bug - time zones can be good for some things! I have now reported & deleted the comment, as well as muted the user.
          
          I’m sorry if anyone saw it & I apologise for any pain it may have caused. I’m sorry I couldn’t remove it quicker. My delay was in no way an endorsement of those views.
          
          This is the first time I’ve ever had to report, delete or mute. Generally, my readers are wonderful, respectful people that I love to engage with. I’m so grateful for you all.
          
          So that I am absolutely clear - racism, sexism, homophobia, or any other type of hatefulness is not welcome here. Any such comments will be reported & deleted immediately, and the user muted.
          
          My Hermione is a Black woman. That’s not up for debate.
          
          Black Lives Matter.
          
          Trans lives are valid.
