Hi, not sure if you have decided to just read it already but it does have some mentions to the previous books, although you don’t really need to read them if you don’t want to.. I wouldn’t recommend reading the last 2 books of the series w/o reading the whole series as it really does tie everything together especially in the last book I feel.
