Hi. At the moment I’m not writing.

My husband of seventeen years announced on last Sunday, which had been a perfectly normal day, where we’d laughed and talked liked any other day, that he was done. On Monday morning he served me with divorce papers.

So I’m learning to juggle being a single mom with five kids, three in elementary school, one middle schooler, and one high schooler, and trying not to cry for too many hours a day.

Writing at all has been hard, but writing romance, something I usually adore, has been impossible.

I’m taking lots of walks in the woods and fields and hoping that when night rolls around I’ll be so exhausted I’ll fall into bed and sleep.

I’ll be back to writing as soon as I can. I’m hoping it’s sooner rather than later.

@FullMoonScribe I'm sorry that happened to you, similar situation happened to me three years ago after being married for almost 30 years except my ex told me over the fon at 2am....what I will say from my experience is that feelings don't go away over night and give yourself grace, let yourself cry, heal, and whatever you need to get back to being a wonderful you, but go through as a family, don't worry about the children seeing you cry, they need to see that this hurt you and who caused this trauma but you're strong and you will overcome, it won't be easy but it will be worth it to know that for your self worth and your children you survived one of hardest obstacles in your life and came out to start a new chapter, I pray for you and your family

@FullMoonScribe, you have an honest God-given gift when it comes to writing! I'm sorry for your family. It may not seem like it now, but everything will work out in the end. In the meantime, remember to take care of yourself 1st, which is easy to lose sight of.

I feel like all I've been doing lately is posting updates as I try to figure out exactly how I want to share my writing going forward. There's been a lot of trial and error and learning this month. I did finally take down Little Lost Luna and Saving Briar, as I'd promised to do about a month ago.

Saving Briar is currently on Inkitt and is free to read, although at this point I'm leaning towards moving it over to Kindle in the hopefully near future. Little Lost Luna is now on Kindle Vella, with some changes and editing. And My Best Friend's Daddy is My Alpha is also on Kindle Vella. It's all easy to find under my name, Ophelia Shaw.

I will likely be taking down Red's story in coming months and moving it over to either Kindle Vella or Kindle Unlimited. Thanks for coming along on this whole roller coaster of figuring things out with me.

I have been writing, and I do plan on keeping my profile here active with new stories. I just have to figure out what is going to go where first!

I hope you choose to publish on Kindle Unlimited because Vella is unfortunately not available in Europe

I needed to switch one thing from yesterday's post. I made a FB profile but I figured a page was probably way better for this whole thing. So now that's done too. I added it to the sidebar links on my profile and I'll put it down below here in comments, if you'd like to follow along there with what I'm up to on different platforms. So far I'm at 0 followers, likes and it's a teensy bit intimidating!

@FullMoonScribe Done! Congratulations love the page

I've been on Pinterest for a long time, but I'm finally breaking down and signing up for other social media, since every publishing related person wants writers to have those. So... I set up FB, IG, and Twitter accounts that you can find under Ophelia Shaw Writes, or here: I've also finally decided to expand into other social media sites for my writing.
          I'm on Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550206084492
          And Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/opheliashawwrites/
And Twitter (or whatever we're calling it now): https://twitter.com/ShawOpheli66843

Feel free to send a friend request on FB. I haven't set up a page yet, but my profile will be exclusively writing related.

Hi All! I know I haven't been posting here much, but I have been writing and proofreading. I did want to let anyone who is reading Little Lost Luna know that it will be moving over to Kindle in the very near future, and after that Saving Briar might be making an appearance elsewhere too. So if you want to read those two, or are in the middle of reading them, now would be the time to do it! Thank you for all your support and kind comments.

I'm still planning on posting some stories here, but I have plans for some of the stories that I've finished!

CallunaBytes

@FullMoonScribe so glad I read this. I just finish Saving Briar and liked it. it had a great story story arc and the resolution didn't seem forced. So, that lead me to want to read your other books and I wasn't sure which one to pick... Little Lost Luna it is <3

@FullMoonScribe Hi friend! It's good to hear from you. Happy to hear you are publishing your stories. Congrats! Be sure to keep us posted on your publishing news. Do you by chance have an estimated date on when you plan to bring the 2 stories down? So we know how much time we have. Good luck with everything. ☺

Do you see a sequel to Saving Briar in the future?

Tjames_99

@FullMoonScribe that makes my heart happy. I really loved Saving Briar.

@Tjames_99 Possibly! I'm actually rereading Saving Briar right now, editing it again, and then I would like to write Harlow's story.
