          Danica's gaze honed in on the last statement she just read, a flash of clarity washing over her sapphire hues. Her fingers subconsciously touched the printed words on the pages, her brows slightly knitting together with thought. “...you're right as always, Silver Scout Soren.” She sighed before promptly shutting the book with a resounding thud, the sudden sound briefly startling Jasmine as the palisman was in the midst of reading over her owner's shoulder. “I gotta gather enough info on this situation before I get myself in another mess like the last two times...”
          
          She squeezed her eyes shut and slowly took a deep breath with her lips pressed together, her shoulders dropping as she exhaled sharply though her nose. She could practically hear the cogs in her head turning echoing in her own ears. A trickle of hesitation threatened to unearth its way throughout her chest, but she did her best to shove it back down. She hugged her childhood book to her chest and stood back up to her feet, glancing over towards her bedroom desk. Her gaze zoned in on the drawer where her elixir was kept safely hidden from any potential prying eyes.
          
           “...and I think I know where to start.”

“Witches and Nobility” has officially been rated #1 in #theowlhouse!!! I literally can’t believe it myself! It feels like just yesterday I was writing the first chapter, now look how far it’s gone!

Guess who’s officially turned 20 today!! Goodbye, teenagehood… It was nice while it lasted

Classes officially start tomorrow for me, thus leaving me barely any time for me to work on “Witches and Nobility” or any of my stories. *sobs internally* Here’s hoping for all my fellow readers to be patient for the time being until I finally get the chance to make future updates!
          
          Aaaaaaah, why was summer so long, yet so short the moment it finally ends?

Teaser for the next chapter of “Witches and Nobility” down below! Potential spoilers for those who have not caught up with my story yet. 
          
          
          Just as she turned on her heel and began to make her way forward, she spotted movement out of the corner of her eye. She instinctively froze, not wanting to risk provoking whatever it could be. Her heart thundered in her chest as various thoughts swarmed her mind. 
          
           Did the sound of her falling catch the attention of a nearby predator? Did it end up giving her an injury she happened to miss on her person and said predator was attracted by the scent of her blood? What should she do? She wasn't necessarily a fan of using her magic against innocent creatures, unless said creature was on the verge of tearing her to pieces...
          
          She hurriedly shoved such thoughts down before the anxiety within her rose any further. Panicking would not solve her situation whatsoever. All she had to do was remain perfectly calm and check her surroundings to see if it was safe enough to proceed. 
          
          And if the coast wasn't clear...well, she just hoped she casted a decent spell that was at least capable of serving as a good distraction for her to escape. Hopefully. 
          
          Once she mustered up enough courage, Danica gripped onto her satchel's straps for comfort as she slowly turned her head over to the side, her heartbeat gradually growing louder and louder in her pointed ears with rising trepidation...
