Maureen McGowan

I'm the author of two popular YA series, most recently the Nationally Bestselling and award winning trilogy The Dust Chronicles: Deviants (2012), Compliance (June, 2013), Glory, (coming June 10, 2014).

I always loved writing fiction, but side-tracked by a (pesky) persistent practical side, it took me a few years to channel my creative energy into novels. After leaving a career in finance, I haven't looked back.

I grew up in various Canadian cities and my previous career moved me to Palo Alto and Philadelphia, before I settled in Toronto, Canada where I attend the Toronto International Film Festival each year. 

Aside from my love of books, I'm passionate about films, fine handcrafted objects and shoes. (Okay, mostly shoes)
