I'm a fan of "golden age" detective fiction, the artform refined by the early days of the Detection Club. I'm most attracted to the puzzle aspect of the mystery; a quirky detective is a bonus, too, but really it's all about the intricate plotting, knitting puzzling circumstances into a coherent, logical narrative.

I'm also an author of interactive fiction: look out for my works on intfiction.org. That's actually a fancy way of saying "text adventure game", and there too, I am all about the puzzle.
