When I first came to Wattpad, the only words I put into my biography were "Writing to Escape". Nothing else.

Writing has always been my happy place, and at that time, it had become more paramount than ever, because I wasn't exactly in a Happy Place in real life. 

I wrote The Bridge to Nihon as an escape, as a means to cheer myself up. So, even though I published it on Wattpad, I didn't mind that it sunk like a stone, because I was happy enough just to see it up there, and to be able to share it with a few people close to me.

Now, the book has become
 #1 Fantasy #1 Adventure #2 Mystery #1 Middle Grade

and the surge in readers is just wonderful! I wrote the book "for myself as a ten-year old", but that doesn't mean I am not humbled and excited that it seems to appeal to people other than my inner child. 

There is just nothing like a Magical-Worlds-Adventure story to get a short respite from reality :)
