Target Writing Contest

Do you love writing and sharing your stories on Wattpad? Do you have a wild imagination and tales to tell? Do you wish you could be a published author-and have your work appear in your local Target store for your friends and family to see? 

Well the new #OnceUponNow contest gives you a chance to do all of that! We're hosting an open contest for Wattpad users who want to be published in the upcoming Once Upon Now anthology that will be carried in Target stores (and other places) this October!

To enter, all you have to do is write an engaging story about modern life or modern love that in some way alludes to or uses elements of a fairy tale or a myth. Make sure it's between 4,000 and 9,000 words, follow this topic, and then tag it #OnceUponNow - that's it! (Oh, also, no trademarked characters--and keep it clean, people!)

To be considered eligible, entries must be posted by 7:59 GMT on June 12 and be eligible under the general contest rules listed here: https://www.wattpad.com/241344172-once-upon-now-official-rules-and-regulations

Once the submissions period is done, the Wattpad readers will vote up their Top 25 stories, and the editors at Gallery Books will pick 10 from that list to include in the anthology. 

So go nuts-tell us your fantastical stories about living in this modern world-the sky's the limit! (Unless your story has a Pegasus, then it might go just a bit beyond.)
