QUENTIN BECK was a prominent up and coming trailblazer in the art of special effects. Beck was truly a mastermind at his work; reinventing the way we saw props and machines, the art he so lasciviously created looked as real as the actors playing on stage. And when he took Hollywood by storm, he was loathed and adored by all who had ever had to work on the same production as him. And all this success surely went to his head.

Growing more arrogant and cocky by every pay check, he could not escape the scandals in Hollywood. And just as quickly, Beck was soon cast out of his spotlight. Cursing the world that never deserved him in the first place, Beck descended into the shadows. 

Years after his blacklist, Quentin Beck made headliners just like he used to. But it wasn't like the world thought. Caught in the alluring web of crime, Beck reinvented himself before he was unmasked after being defeated by the sickening hero SPIDER-MAN.

Soon after his villainous debut, Quentin Beck was forever to be known as the infamous MYSTERIO, master illusionist.
