Bangtan's Angel

Hi! My name is Delaney, and I am proud to say that Kpop has saved my life. I have been writing for most of my life, and I would like to share my writing with you! So please, have a seat, and relax! And don't forget to have fun!

I have been writing ever since I was little. Someday, I want to become a novelist, and I hope that I can become discovered through my writing. But, for almost three or four years, I had an idea that I couldn't get out of my head. I would write the same thing over and over again, but always end up scrapping the idea. It was a really frustrating time for me because I felt as if I wasn't thinking of anything new. During the winter of 2015-2016, I went through a mild depressive state. It gets quite dark and snowy where I live, so that didn't help me either. I had hardly any motivation, my grades were falling, and I just was not happy.

That's when I found BTS.

I found the Japanese Version of I NEED U through a distant friend. At the time, I spoke a little bit of Japanese, but I wasn't (and I'm still not) fluent. But, I could vaguely understand the lyrics, and there was something magnetic about it that made me want to keep listening to it. I listened to the Japanese Version of I NEED U for almost two months before I even learned who BTS was and that they weren't Japanese.

Out of curiosity, I started listening to their Korean songs and watching their interviews. I started smiling again, and it was like I was rediscovering myself. I could feel myself getting new ideas every day. Since then, I've started listening to other groups, such as GOT7, BigBang, 2NE1, TWICE, and Monsta X. But, I don't think any of them can replace what BTS's Japanese Version of I NEED U has done for me.

BTS has inspired me to write again, even if I am only writing fanfiction. I know that I am not perfect, and neither is my writing, but I will always strive to give you my best work.
