a question bc someone commented on a comment chain discussing shipping real ppl: is it homophobic to ignore queer coding?
bc I was sure that they were throwing words around to make their point seem correct..
@tatarmx no i don’t think so ! queer coding doesn’t explicitly state someones sexuality so i don’t think it’s homophobic to ignore the sexuality. however if the character was queer and it was canon and someone still ignores it and classifies them as straight, then it’s a different story.
