new and old pc readers alike pls bear with me.... instead of finishing a new chapter i am once again rewriting act one... the horrible/beautiful thing about developing as a writer and growing with your characters is that no one can display that growth except you (the story won't fix itself apparently?) and i am terrified of the prospect of letting my babies exist in a way that is anything less than they deserve. so. brb basically

every single atrocity israel has committed in the past 76 years has been a test of whether they can get away with what they’re doing now, and they have passed at every turn. the amplification of those atrocities since october 7th is only proof that israel’s actions are western actions. what the IOF does it does because colonizers from around the world arrive constantly and in hundreds to aid in genocide. what netenyahu commands he can command because the united states champions it. because canada funds it. because british media mitigates it with racist questioning and euphemisms for slaughter. and etc and etc. no one is exempt. everyone is complicit. there’s a reason what started as scrounging for lies to justify sieging a hospital became bombing it to ash in five months. they don’t need to lie anymore. they have seen that they can show the truth a thousand times and the powers of the world will not blink an eye.

i think it’s just so heartbreaking how colonisation is unfolding right in front of our eyes— we are witness to horrific war crimes and atrocities and yet, so much of the world will deny that this is genocide. we read about it, we learn about it, we hear about many genocides in our classrooms but because we’ve never been witness to such atrocities, people become desensitised to that information. and those are the same people in denial of the war crimes israel is committing. it is terrible.

the UN “ceasefire resolution” is not a resolution. it is a two week pause in horrors of genocide, starvation as collective punishment, SA, kidnapping, and bombing that eyewitnesses have said time and time again can’t even be described on social media. just yesterday, isr*eli authorities informed the UN that they will no longer approve any UNRWA food convoys to northern gaza. every violation of humanity we have seen that we imagine can’t be worse IS worse. a two week pause during the month of ramadan? immediately after a week of numerous accounts of sexual assault and hundreds killed and abducted in hospitals? so that isr*el can go back to ethnically cleansing the palestinian people the moment it’s lifted? what a sick joke in the name of supposed justice. the systems of this world have proven time and again to have none.
still, now is more important than ever to donate to palestinians and talk about these atrocities. if aid and escape are truly made possible during this time, we need to be giving food, medical care, and an opportunity to flee to the people of gaza, with the prayer and action to ensure they can return to a free palestine.

AL-SHIFA HOSPITAL IS UNDER ATTACK AGAIN. not only has the IOF returned to bombing the hospital as they did in october, they’re also bulldozing and entering a ground siege through the southern entrance. AN ENTIRE CREW OF AL-JAZEERA JOURNALISTS HAVE BEEN ABDUCTED. notice how we’re hearing less about palestine from within? this is why. there can be no documenting the genocide if isr*el kidnaps and kills the people documenting it.
al-shifa is a shelter for displaced palestinians which has already seen isr*el’s bombardment before. remember when they claimed it was hamas drone striking their own hospital? now they don’t even pretend. they have total impunity for their continuous war crimes, and they know it.
