The next day after Isaac leaves for work, Viè goes into the office and looks through the file cabinet. The birth certificate she found yesterday wasn’t there anymore, meaning Isaac moved it somewhere else. She only remembers seeing the words “Jackson” and “Gary, Indiana” so she searches it up on the internet (remembering to delete her search history later on) she finds The Wikipedia page of the small town of Gary Indiana. She searched deeper in the town for “Jackson” and finds a street in the town called “Jackson street”. Frustrated, she searches deeper and finds a “Jackson” family with plenty of photos, old and new. Everyone has a the same facial features as their son, Elijah. She finds plenty of news articles of the deranged Serial killer named Michael Jackson with felony drug charges, linked to this family. She finds the number of Katherine Jackson and calls the it, only to get told to “leave them alone, I know nothing of my son”.
Geneviève sends the kids off to stay at her sisters house so when “Isaac” comes home, she can confront him. He comes home and she does exactly that, at first he plays stupid but then realizes that Geneviève found out everything about him, from the person he stole his identity from, his real name, his family, where he’s from, how much of a sick person he truly is and there’s no way to go back. She’s crying and screaming at how he could do this to her and their kids, that sets something off in Michael’s brain and he acts impulsively, killing his wife. He then goes his sister in laws house not only kill her but his children too, not as gruesome. In the epilogue: it shows Michael, who has made another getaway now under another alias, living another completely different life. The guilt is still eating him alive of what he did to his family because he genuinely loved them more than anything in his life, he hated how he acted impulsively. He goes back to his old ways of addiction and overdoses.
