I'm foremost a reader. I love books. I cannot pass up a bookstore or a public library without popping in for a minute or a couple of hours. Currently I work as a research editor at Cosmo for Latinas magazine and my stories have appeared in The New York Times, Texas Monthly, The Texas Observer and aired on NPR. My first novel, Between Dances, received a Lambda Literary Award.

I'm a member of the Macondo Writers’ Workshop and, after years spent in New York City, I now live in Silicon Valley, CA.
