when aurelia laughed, kara finally let the laugh she was holding in escape, not feeling as bad for laughing since the other was laughing as well. once her laugh faded away, her small smile reappeared on her lips, “i’m so excited about it. i’ve been-” she cut herself off when the other leapt forward and hugged her, slightly throwing kara off guard, but she chuckled as she hugged aurelia back.

            her eyes narrowed for a moment or two before she let out her own laugh, amused by both her reaction and the fact that she’d been so scared to begin with. but when her laugh died down, she couldn’t help but smile like an absolute idiot. “you’re engaged?! wow, that’s so great!” and without further commentary, the woman lunged forward to hug the witch. it was exciting news after all, and no one had ever told her such news before, so this was just overall very exciting. 

kara moved her right hand from behind her back to cover her mouth as she tried to stifle a laugh when the other spun around. “in my defense, i didn’t mean to scare you,” she pointed out, still trying not to laugh. once the other had brushed herself off, kara smiled softly as she moved her other hand from behind her back, showing aurelia her engagement ring. “i’m engaged!”
