I'm a fanfiction author/reader. 

I've left the Legend of Zelda fandom. I can't find enough motivation to write for that fandom, and I'm tired of the stories with the same elements and plots. Kinda the same reasons I left Undertale.

My reasons for leaving the LoZ fandom are kinda the same to the reasons for leaving Undertale. I rely on fanfiction/animation/games to stay interested and inspired, and I've lacking in all of those. I can't find any fanfiction that really catches my interest, half of it is Zelink, a quarter yaoi, and the rest is other ships. There's a bit that doesn't have any ships, which is dandy, but it's typically crackfics or stuff I don't care about in /any/ of my fandoms, like Ask and Dare or Artbooks. 

Then there's ships. Ships is a typically "intense" thing in most fandoms, but I think it's just flat-out stupid in this fandom. You have to ship Zelink or something else, there's no middle ground. And Heaven forbid you ship a small ship like Mallink or Miphlink! You either ship yaoi (oh but there's a hierarchy there too), Zelink, a few random ships that doesn't offend anyone else (kinda hard to do) or nothing at all. 

LoZ's presence online is mostly Let's Plays or ranking weapons or something. There are speedpaints, remixes, comic dubs, animation memes, and other things like that. I usually like/stay in fandoms because of that, it's what I really like in general. MSA has an animated series, OFF has animation memes, FNaF has actual quality comic dubs and animation, it's what keeps me going. 

But LoZ? Come on. There's so few.
