What is a body but a sort of space suit that a soul requires to explore the otherwise uninhabitable dichotomies of material existence?

Eyes to measure lightness against darkness, a nose and tongue to measure bitterness against sweetness, ears to measure sound against silence, skin to measure pain against comfort, and a mind to convert this data into the language of the soul- pure emotion.

Must we be confined to this one frame for the duration of our stay? Does it comprise the whole of our identity, or is it just a garment, whether ill-fitting or well-tailored? Is there life after this body?

And when our species inevitably goes extinct, will the essence of humanity itself be lost, or just one iteration of the physical form?

These are all questions that I write to explore. Personal inquiries made public.

I hope you enjoy.
