          Lian is the shadows the mirrors the sun, trailing its every movements. She is the reflections of the night with her dark eyes and dark hair, and she is the rage in which the earth splits down the middle, consuming all forms of life in fire. She is fury and beauty, destruction and creation. Lian is a lotus in the mud, but she is hidden from the world. They whisper of who they think she is, of what she may be to them. They know nothing of her, nothing more than her name, while she knows everything. She knows their names and their families, she knows their good things and the bad. 
          But she does not know herself. She does not know who she is, or who she is supposed to be. She does not know her father's comforting arms or her mother's warm tone, or even her name. To Lian, her father is just a man, and her mother is a ghost in the night that haunts her. 
          But, as the earth does, she obtains light from the burning sun, a lost, lonely star in the sky.

Tell me why I think I just came up with most morally complex character I've ever written? It'd be an avatar the last airbender story, and I so badly want to publish it and share her with the world, because she is literally me. I am obsessed.
