(         the metkayina princess asked casually ,     trying to hide the mischievous glint within her ocean blue eyes      as she gently twisted another shell within sabé’s hair .         )           besides , you agreed in the first place , because       you cannot say ‘no’ to me . (          kï’trä rolled her eyes , smacking him lightly on the back of the head      as he mocked her .       though a light blush of embarrassment formed upon her cheeks     )             perhaps at the time that I / did / tell you that ,    that was truly how I felt . (        kï’trä scoffed , rolling her hues as she laid back down by his side , resting her forehead against his shoulder .      she felt now , utterly peaceful as she laid with him , in his arms ,    that even / she / was beginning to feel a little weary .       )           yes , / whatever / I ask .

            (        sunlight shone through the the small cracks within the hut ,      creeping through like     a slow trickle of water  .      she thought he would’ve known by now that kï’trä was a light sleeper — that once she was awake ,      she did not bother trying to go back to sleep .      her hair adorned with shells ,    now combined with some beads which had been je’tani’s doing , fell in front of her cheeks at she peered over at him , her shadow blocking some of the light .        )              dah, you are so ngong ( lazy ) .       I cannot understand ,    still to this day ,      how you can spend almost the / entire / morning in bed .             (         he was her love ,     her light ,       her stars    ,      but there were still times where she did not quite understand him .     the corners of her lips lifted up as her hand cupped the left side of his face gently .       )              you should not be cooped up in here all day , ma tìyawn .    ‘tis not healthy .
