Writing question of the day: How do you choose the names of your characters?

roguereid

@everythinginsane I used to do that when I was like 15-16, but now I just google names and whichever one sounds the best is the one I choose!

Or i look into the meaning of a name and see if it fits the character's personality

Does anyone ever have the hardest time developing either A) your characters’ backstories or B) reasons why your characters have to be together or why they shouldn’t be together? I think that’s the most difficult thing when it comes to writing. Opinions?

@purewhiterose171 that's where my problem lies with all my books because I always think of the ending instead of the middle

@we_are_all_quite_mad that happens literally ever book I’ve ever tried writing! I know exactly how it’s going to end, but getting there is the big problem. It’s super frustrating.

Fellow Wattpad users, I have a question for you.

What makes a great story? For you, is it the plot? Characters? Etc?

roguereid

I totally agree with you! Those are the best kind of books
