From the time Tessa learned to read, she was writing. Her first "book" was made when she was 5 years old which consisted of notebook paper and a cardboard cover with ribbons to hold it all together. And she's never stopped writing since--whether it be blog posts, short stories, poems and now books, she has continued to perfect her craft over the intervening years. She writes the stories she wishes she could read, and reads the stories she wishes she could write. She eschews modern technology for the comforting feel of a paper book in her hands. Her dream would be to have an old style library with floor-to-ceiling shelves filled with books--so high you'd need a ladder to reach the top, of course.

Tessa currently lives in the endless green of the Deep South, surrounded by more trees than anyone could ever want. She writes in all of her spare time between taking care of a house, a child and an ever-changing number of jobs (currently 2 1/2). She lives in the season of life that often includes peanut butter stains on whatever page she's currently editing and somebody always tripping over her feet or her computer cord. She's young enough to remember what it's like to be a kid, and just old enough that people take her seriously. She's a serious introvert that comes from a massive (and amazing) family. She dreams of days when 30 minutes of uninterrupted writing is commonplace, and her little boy can be proud to say she's his mommy.
