@3Pebbles I feel like as long as you make it your own in some way and it was truly an accident it’s not a problem. I remember back in the day people would literally copy and paste people’s stories like not changing anything or saying the other person’s @ it was wilddd

I’m actually partially guilty of this XD I wrote a story that I really liked and then realized there was a lot of commonality between my story and a story by one of my favourite authors on this site XD it’s not directly plagiarized and they’re very different stories but they’re still similar. I talked to the other author and they said they saw the similarities but didn’t have a problem with it haha they said they liked it and their only criticism was how slowly I update >.< I didn’t even notice I was doing it until I reread their story, but I’d say it was more like they were my inspiration rather than me copying them. Really, the main thing that was similar is that my main character is an overpowered yet meek nice girl and her partner is a conservative, bratty princess and it’s the same trope in her story haha we also both have a school for supernaturals as the main setting… but still, it’s not stolen if the other author is cool with it XD
