          I’m determined to complete this story before its  2 year anniversary on wp in late January - alternatively, the race is on. v grateful for everyone who’s still along for the ride <3 <3

          today is Election Day. The outcome of the 2022 midterm election has significant consequences for the integrity of representative democracy in America (in addition to other salient policy and social justice issues). Electing candidates who’ve centered their campaigns on denying the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election has the power to intensify the anti-democratic tendencies in our politics. This cannot stand. 
          
          That said, I direct the following words to this community of passionate readers and writers - in our increasingly polarized and divisive political landscape, it is incumbent upon us as individuals to stay politically engaged and informed to combat misinformation campaigns and safeguard democracy.

i adore your book "the halo effect" for so many reasons.
          i love how the mc actually plays her sport instead of cheering for her s/o (nothign wrong with that, but personally i think it's just overused).
          i love the comradery of the girls lacroose team. it's too often that books pit girls against each other over a boy and it makes me happy to see the strong female friendships represented in the book. 
          i also enjoy the complexity of every one of your characters, they all feel fleshed out and feel like real people i would encounter. i'm glad that you have teenagers who act like teenagers. often, they act too childish. but your characters have the maturity of adults but also the impulsiveness//flaws that all teenagers have. 
          overall, it's an amazing book and i'm excited to read more of it as you continue it!
