Since I could say it in the comments I will tell you here. Basically Vincent told her that she was just an item to be married off. He abused her mentally too. He was the main reason she overdosed on pills. Coming to the end off the book I kind of feel bad for the baby because it wouldn’t be able to know who their father was. The girl Vincent was with was Bob daughter and she came to get revenge on the main character so that’s why she was using Vincent to get what she wanted. She also told Vincent things so that he could hate is sister. But in the end she ended up getting pregnant with his child . The main character told Vincent she will do her best to take care of his child and then he died⚰️. Also you should hate the father, he hits my main character .
