CERES ACKERMAN WON THE 73RD GAMES with nothing but a stone in her hand and a nonstop ringing in her ears. Victory was hers the moment the remaining victor had dropped to the floor with his skull bashed in. The moment a tribute became a victor. Much like her famous family of victors, Ceres Ackerman carried the crown placed on her head with fake pride and artificial smiles directed towards the people of Panem. She would only have to do it for a year, convince them all that she was worthy of her crown. And that she did. So much that wealthy men and women began to buy her from President Snow, something both her mother and sister had gone through after their own victories. It was expected, no victor was truly free from the hands of prying monsters.

     After the stunt that the tributes from 12 pulled in the following games, the air grows tense throughout the districts. Ceres notices her mom and sister become more secretive, the amount of peacekeepers increase as the days go on. As the victors of district 12 continue their victory tour, things begin to fall out of control. Rebellion. Rebellion. Rebellion. With secrets beginning to unfold, a group of rebels beginning to form, and a secret plan to break the Mockingjay free from its cage, Ceres doesn't expect to find herself fighting for her life once again in the 75th Quarter Quell alongside previous victors.

This time, her own skin isn't the only thing she's trying to save.
