"Yeah a little bit" I squinted my fingers and nodded
"Why didn't you call the police?" Jania asked
"Cause I-he told me not to"
"What if he actually killed somebody but shot himself so the fingers wouldn't be pointed at him" Koby spoke up with his theory
We all looked at him furrowing our eyebrows.
"You need to quit watching those criminal shows" I pointed at him
"What if- what if he just got caught in the crossfire" Mari suggested
"Or someone was just on his ass"
"Okay let's quit tryna figure out this mans life story y'all I shook my head trying to change the subject
"Was he fine at least?" Bella asked
"You totally can't pull him" I mocked her voice rolling my eyes
She rolled her eyes going back to under the hair dryer.
I lowkey feel like she just comes in the shop just to bother me since that is all she does.
"So what happened to him, he just left?" Mari asked and I nodded
Of course I was gonna leave the part out where he left a stain of blood on my couch and a wad of money.

"Yeah I'm about to go get me something to eat from the food truck outside" I told them

"Whatever y'all get" Mari and Koby shrugged going back to doing their clients hair
"I'll like a- besides you bald head" Jania looked at Bella making me chuckle
We walked out and made our way across the street to one of the food trucks.
"Hey can I get...1 chili dog and 3 bacon cheeseburgers" I looked at Jania to see if that what was she wanted also
She nodded at me grabbing drinks from the cooler outside.
"That's it?"
"And like 2 chili cheese fries please"
"Damn ma you gon eat allat by yo self?" Someone asked from behind me making me turn around

"No...these for my friends" I told him and he nodded chuckling before stepping back
I handed the man my card before stepping out the way towards Jania.
"That's him Jania" I pointed making her look up
