The Ballad of Shadow

Chapter 1- The Early Years

This tale begins like any other good adventure with the birth of our hero Shadow, thats me. Yeah i know what your all thinking what kinda name is Shadow right well i'll tell ya; see in my family when we're born we are given two names one being our real name and another a name to be used until we earn the right to know our true names..yeah really complicated stuff there right. Anyway back towards the main issue, me, I was the second born son in my family making me less special than the a-hole i'm forced to call brother (if you knew him you'd say the same thing). Being second place made my life a living hell growing up since it was always, "Shadow this..Shadow that..Why aren't you perfect like your brother," type of stuff even though i was just as smart as he was..sorry i was telling you guys a story wasn't i not just venting my guts out right. Well not much happened in my life early on except alot of training, studying, and history lessons on my family in case i ever became next in line, spolier alert: I never did big shocker right. Well i think i gave enough background info here introduce myself, set up family background, say i'm a prince, and i'm half-dragon...I didn't go over 3 or 4 did I welp i guess your in for a treat next chapter am i right..no..okay then just keep reading it gets better.
