Johnny: i'm leaving

You: fantastic

Johnny: wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

You: you could say that, math quiz today

Johnny: you're going to ace it

You: yeah, whatever

*you go to the kitchen table and open your computer*

Johnny: bye

You: bye

*he walks out and drives away*

*after a few hours of working on your super long math quiz you decide to take a break and clean up around the house*

*you grab beer cans and trash off the ground and put them into a bag*

*you walk outside to put the trash away when someone taps your shoulder*

You: jesus!

*you say scared*

Miguel: im sorry, sorry

You: its fine, you just shouldn't sneak up on people like that

Miguel: im sorry

You: its fine

*you say giggling

*miguel mutters under his breath*

Miguel: ¡Dios! miguel eres estupido, probablemente piensa tu y idiota

(god miguel, youre stupid, she probably thinks you're an idiot)

*he thinks you don't speak spanish*

*you giggle again*

You: De hecho, no, pero la próxima vez que murmures, asegúrate de que la otra persona no pueda oír

(i actually dont, but next time you mutter make sure the other person cant hear you)

Miguel: You speak spanish?

*he asks with a smile*

You: three years of practice

Miguel: i just moved in here

You: i figured, i haven't seen you around

*he laughs*

Miguel: Do you live here with your mom and dad?

*you look down*

You: no, just my dad. Which isn't the best but its all i got

Miguel: don't feel bad. I don't have a dad, never met the guy actually, just me, my mom and my abuela

You: doesn't sound like someone you would want in your life anyways

*you say with a smile*

Miguel: Do you not have school? Because i'm starting tomorrow. We probably go to the same school

You: i'm sorry to let you down miguel but i do online school

Miguel: bullies?

*you laugh a little*

You: no, not enough money in the budget

*you walk back to your room door*

Miguel: Do you want to come over for dinner?

You: uhm, yeah, sure. I would say yes to hanging out right now but i have to finish my math and history

Miguel: oh no! It's totally cool, see you around 5:00?

You: yep!

*you walk back into your apartment and return to the small kitchen and make a pb&j*

Miguel's POV

*she's so pretty it's insane*

*its my first full day here and i already have a friend*

*she's coming over for dinner which should be fun, i find it weird that she didn't ask her dad, but i'm not one to judge*

*as i get to my door and turn around just to take a glance at her*

*she's smiling making a sandwich i'm guessing and dancing*

*i can hear muffled sounds of music*

*she's amazing*

* i go back into the apartment to unpack my clothes*

*it was now 4:30 and my dad wasn't home*

*im guessing something happened and hes now drunk*

*not unusual*

*i left a note on the counter saying where i was going to be for dinner*

*even though it's right across the street*

* i got dressed trying to look presentable*
