As the discription said, this is an au. Basically my thinking process for it as I still have to flesh out some of the details for it is that Ruru didn't have a terminal illness, but she still had an illness. She ends up recovering, a little bit before the og story starts, and since Ruru was in the hospital for awhile, her and honoka aren't as close as they used to be, but they grow a bit closer as the story moves on. I have no clue how I'm going to rewrite honokas trauma, I might make it so Ruru and honoka had another close friend who didn't help write the manga, that died of the sickness Ruru originally had
