Jealousy

I'm not trying to,

It's natural.

I can't help it.

You notice her instead of me.

She places her hand upon your knee,

A silent plea.

I'm trying to be patient.

You're slow to react,

Not sure what I expect.

Maybe some sort of counteract.

I'm trying to be patient.

She's making it difficult.

She's so insignificant,

Yet typical.

I'm trying to be patient.

She's sitting on your lap,

Giving your nose a tap.

It feels like a bitch slap.

And though I try not to,

Sometimes I can't help it.

Many times I feel like

Giving her neck a snap.
