Waking up from an endless cycle of nightmares, she mourned at the thought of the day that was to come. Sapphire blue eyes squinted from the harsh sunlight that sat care free on the fluffy marshmallow clouds. She walked to her desk and sat down with her head in her hands dreading going to "hell",  in 1 hour.

Cold water dripped from the old rusty shower head and seeped into Alyssa's delicate eyes; she rubbed them without a thought and soap contaminated her blue now blood shot eyes. Reaching for a towel to stop the stinging , her eyes screamed in pain begging for a hero to save them.

The first day at a new school after your mother's passing isn't exactly easy one might say however for Alyssa she kept her emotions enclosed in a box without a key. She brushed her damaged, tangled, black hair into a low pony and grabbed her keys from her vanity. Chiming like an old Victorian clock her phone alarm screened reminding her that she needed to go.
