I opened my eyes, water bubbled out of my lips, one of my paws were stretched far from where i could see, my coat was heavy with the wetness.
I fixed my blurry vision on my father, Onestar, the tabby tom who had murdered me by drowning me, but I guess I drowned him..also, I coughed
up water as it pooled around my mouth, the scent of death was in my father, but..if Onestar is dead, then how am I alive?
I woke up to see a dark place with black shadows slithering up to me, "welcome Darktail..." I stared at the dark shapes, "where am I?"
The shadows didn't answer, I leaped to them to swipe a paw at their throats, but they disappeared, I fell backwards, landing on
my back. "Answer me when I talk!" I growled, the Shadows purked their ears, I waited for them to speak, "you are in the dark forest."
One whispered, "the dark what?" I asked, what the mice was the dark forest?!
I woke up, panting heavily, by my surprise, I was still living, but my father wouldn't budge, my paws twitched, I tried to stand, but a deep rash
on my shoulder heaved in pain, why did I battle with Onestar, why did I kill all of those cats?! I thought for a moment, there had really been no
reason to murder all those cats, why did I do it? just then, I remembered something, more clear then ever! It
Was a gray she-cat with brilliant blue eyes, carrying me out of the water, the pebbles were scraping at my pelt.
Smoke, my mother! I realized its soft fur and needle sharp claws instantly, blood roared in my ears, my sight was still blurry, but I could still
see the vast river rippling, the scent of death filled my nostrils, and it was for certain my father was dead.
I layed back more relaxed and settled now, and I knew what the right thing was, I would go back to the clans to prove himself loyal, and
powerful!
