Seven hid behind Mono.

Mono had given him his coat and it was much bigger on him but it gave him a sense of security and safety.

The door to freedom was just within his reach, but the only thing keeping him from it was a huge dining room full of fat, smelly guests that would hunt them down if they were to spot them.

Seven started to fidget with the back of Mono's shirt a thing of habit when he was nervous. Mono turned and smiled at Seven and took his hands in his. "There is nothing to be worried about. I'm going to get us out of here."

"What about Six? She isn't here... did you guys have another argument?" Seven asked.

Mono smiled at the kindness that Seven portrayed for the person who almost killed him. "She said she wanted to stay here. I think it's for the best... she has a lot of bad memories being on the mainland."

Seven nodded and held onto Mono's hand as the started to walk down the corridor. The guests spotted them over and over again but with a wave of Mono's hand he moved them to the side where they couldn't hurt them.

Seven looked in awe as Mono's powers went to work pausing and moving the obstacles that they called guests out of the way.

Once they made it past and the door opened Mono dropped and resumed the behaviors of the guests who collided with each other thinking that they were still chasing Mono and Seven.

Seven looked in awe of seeing light that didn't come from a lightbulb or lantern. Seven started doing small jumps in place his excitement making him fidgety. "I know I know. You're excited, but you have to stay near me at all times okay..? This place it dangerous and I don't want to lose you."

Seven nodded. "Wait before we go..."

Mono looked at Seven with confusion as he took of his coat and gave it back to him. "I thought it made you feel safe. Why give it back to me?"

"Because whenever I'm with you... I always feel safe." Seven said with a smile on his face.

Mono just about died right there. 'I do not deserve the kindness he gives me!'

Mono smiled back and put on his coat as they ascended stairs to the light at the end of it.

Little did they know that Six was watching from somewhere above them. She smiled at the little exchange having realized her mistake and was starting to get over Mono. What she didn't tell him, was that she still had some form of power in her. You don't just kill a powerful being without being able to regenerate that power... this time though she would take care of this place and make it safe for everyone... she had many ways to get back to the nursery... Six would start there...

She would free the kids since they had no one who would take care of them and ask the nomes from help... she knows what they are now... she knows more than she did before...

This time she would do something that would make Mono proud he knew her.

Seven huddled next to Mono on the cold and wet boat ride, but Seven was used to it and the semi violent moving of the boat so he found it somewhat enjoyable.

Mono, on the other hand, wasn't as used to the violent moving of the boat. He was pressed up against the wall of the cabin, and made Seven a little concerned. "You okay with all this?"

"Not really... can't swim..." Mono managed to get out.

"And you went to the Maw willingly?!"

"I didn't know I couldn't swim til I fell into water nearly drowning in the process!" Mono said, sinking back further to the wall... if that where possible.

"I guess that would be traumatic... I'm afraid of water too... not the same reason you're afraid but I'm afraid of the things inside the water. The things you don't see." Seven said his voice slowly becoming softer.

Mono knew about this fear. It was one of the many things they talked about when they where in the Hideaway, they called it. They talked about fears, happy memories, and what they've been through, together or not. Mono enjoyed it, even now.

The people manning the ship started to saunter back into the room. Mono stood in front of Seven just to be sure they didn't see him. He had darker clothes on while Seven had a bright blue sweater... he would be seen so much easier and Mono didn't want to take the risk.

They yawned and started chatting while getting ready to turn in for the night. "Did you hear? The geisha and the janitor are dead!"

Mono looked at Seven with surprise and Seven stared back with the same expression.

"Wait, really?! Then who are we serving?! We need someone to pay us!" Said another.

"A little girl. She's the one that called us here this time." Responded the first guy.

"We're serving a child?! That's stupid..."

"She has the same powers as the geisha... she's more powerful than us... this little girl could kill us if we try anything."

Mono gasped.

"Well, as long as we get paid." The second said getting into the bed next to Mono and Seven.

"Yeah, that's true." The other said turning off the light and pulling up a blanket around him.

They turned off the light and Seven and Mono let out a sigh of relief. "Six still has her powers?" Seven asked softly.

"I guess but I thought I got it all." Mono whispered.

Seven shook his head slightly. "It doesn't matter. She isn't hurting us and she's taking care of the Maw... everything should be fine.
Seven leaned on Mono's shoulder and let out a small quiet yawn. "Goodnight Mono. Wake me when we get there..."

Mono brought Seven a little closer and combed his fingers through Seven's hair. "Don't worry... I'll make sure to wake you."

Seven felt himself being carried through a place where the breeze felt nice on his skin,  he could feel the warmth from the sun, and the crunching of the terrain around him... wait.

Seven moved around in the arms of whoever this was and they lowered him to the ground. He felt soft grass underneath him... was he really was outside or was it a really convincing dream? "You alright Sev?"

"Mmm... yeah... are we... outside?" Seven asked rubbing his eyes slowly.

Mono smiled safely. "Yes, we are." Mono looked around for a minute and so Seven did as well.

He noted the TVs littering the trees and long grass around them and looked at Mono who trained his sight on a single TV in the center of the circle of trees... one that wasn't broken or  worn.

"I've taken you to where it all began."
