Heyo! It's Lilyanne here with another idea for a story.

So I thought of this story when I was learning a poem written by Maya Angelou called Caged Bird.
Basically, the poem is about how the blacks suffered in the 1900's. They couldn't do what other people could do simply because of their skin color. They couldn't attend the best schools, they always faced discrimination and they were treated as barbaric and inferior people. Sad, right?

Anyway, Maya Angelou and a few other activists protested against this and it worked (I think?). Sadly, some of them died.

That poem really inspired me to write this book cause racism is real and it's still out there. I mean, they were not as treated badly as before but it's still there.
And I really want people to know that...both whites and blacks...

And in case you're wondering?Yes, I'm motherfucking black.
