"Thank you for having me tonight Orlando!! You are amazing. I can't wait to see you again" I said as I walked off stage. I could hear the crowd screaming and chanting my name. I felt like my head was spinning and running a million miles all at once. As the sweat drips down my face I feel my heart beating out of my chest. Once off stage my assistant hands me a towel and cold water.
"Thanks." I say. Wiping my face with the towel as she started to go over my itinerary. Sighing I take another sip of water.
"Alright so you have 30 minutes before you need to be on the road. we will have to driving you through the night, in order for you to be on time for press in Atlanta which starts at six. Then fan meet and greet at 2:30, rehearsals at 3, and concert at 6.".
Walking into my dressing room I plop down onto the couch as she continues to talk. I block her out as I lay back and close my eyes. I don't know how long she continued to talk but I didn't really care. I was completely exhausted and didn't have the energy.
"Alex, are listening to me?" Stacy questions. Hearing my name I open my eyes.
"What." I mumble
"I don't even know why I try." She mutters to herself.
"Its fine, whatever. I'll go over your schedule with you tomorrow." she says as she grabs my arms pulling me up.
"5 more minutes." I groan as I'm pulled onto my feet.
"You need to shower and get out of your sweaty clothes first." she says pushing me into the bathroom.
"You have 15 minuets." she says shutting the door.
Looking in the mirror I can see the dark circles under my eyes that were hidden by makeup at first but smeared off from the sweat. Taking a deep breath I slowly start to take off my clothes. After showering and changing into sweats and a plain white t-shirt. I hear a knock on the door.
" Alex you ready?"
" Yeah" I say as I throw on a sweatshirt and open the door. There I see Stacy holding out a green smoothie for me. Grabbing the disgusting drink out of her hand we make our way through the long corder under the stadium with my security team. I can still hear the crowd above making their way out of the stadium.
" You did great tonight. How is your voice feeling?" Stacy questions as we makes a left turn into the parking garage where I see the RV.
"It feels sore and a little raw." I say rubbing my hand at the back of my neck.
" Hopefully it will feel better tomorrow." She says walking me to the RV door.
" Well, I hope you're right." I say as I turn to open the door.
"Alex," she says, stopping me. Turning to look at her I see she is pointing at the smoothie. Oh right I think. I chug down the chunky vile liquid.
"Ewh." I say swallowing the last remaining liquid. Stacy laughs.
" You drink this twice a day and still barely able to get it down." she teases.
" Yeah, yeah, it's the most disgusting thing ever." I say walking up the steps.
" I will wake you up at 5. Try and get some rest tonight." she says as I turn my back to her.
Once in the RV I see a plate of food for me on the table. Too exhausted to eat, I go straight into bed falling into a deep sleep.
"Alex, Alex" I hear someone whisper as they shake me
"Time to get up"
I slowly open my eyes but quickly shut them as the bright lights burns my eyes causing them to water.
