It had been two long years since Marvin had abandoned Whizzer and Jason. Jason's mother wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. So here Whizzer was, stuck with a 12 ½ year old that wasnt even his. He tried his best to amount to everything Marvin had been. No matter how many times he begged Marvin to come back and stay Marvin wouldnt. Whizzer would blame himself meanwhile Jason was there to comfort him. Jason enjoyed having Whizzer around. Despite Jason not calling Whizzer dad, Whizzer was a father figure. Whizzer had a bad dream and woke up early this morning. So he rounded up a tired Jason and tried to get him to eat breakfast. "C'mon Jason. You're almost 13 and you need breakfast to grow. If you dont grow you're gonna get injured at school and I'll have to take you to the hospital and we cant really afford that right no-" Jason snorted. "Ill be fine, Dad." Whizzers eyes lit up. "Did you just-" Jason smiled and began to eat. Whizzer squealed and patted Jason's head. Jason shoved his hand away and ate some food. Whizzer then went and got dressed. While Jason was at baseball practice he was going on a hunt for a job. He needed to or they were gonna be out on the street. Once they both had gotten dressed Whizzer grabbed his phone, Jason's bag and some extra water so the minion of Marvin wouldn't get dehydrated. A week goes by like lightning. Whizzer and Jason were now out on the street in a failed attempt to pay rent. Whizzer had Jason covered up and laying in his lap. Whizzer couldn't help but feel he failed, until he heard a familiar voice."So,Mr.Brown, Need a place to stay?" Whizzer clenched his jaw and stared up and the man with blue eyes and curly brown hair he had adored before. "I would reject that but I have your helpless, cold child in my lap. That you decided to abandon by the way." Marvin helped him up and led Whizzer to his small house. "It's not the best...but its liveable. You can sleep in my room and Jason can sleep in the guest room." Whizzer scoffed. "You ungrateful, shithead. I'm not sleeping with you and I won't fall for it again." Marvin glared. "Suit yourself. Sleep on the couch,my sweet bruiser." He led Jason to the guest room while Whizzer got comfy on the couch and dozed off. Marvin sighed and turned off the light. "Idiot." He whispered, "You'll never admit how much you need any kind of help." He kissed Whizzer's head and covered him up before retreating to his own bed and falling asleep.

The sun rose and Whizzer sat up due to the sun dancing all over his face. Marvin was RIGHT there. "Sleep well?" He gave Whizzer a cup of coffee. Whizzer scoffed and took a sip. "It's better than getting no sleep at all." A smile bloomed on Marvins lips. "Jasons at the lesbians house. I wanted some time with you." Whizzer turned away while Marvin scooted a box over to him. "Go ahead and look, Whizzer." Whizzer sighed and picked up a picture. He couldn't help but smile. It was a picture after Marvin and Him got married. "You kept this?" He looked at Marvin. Marvin had tears in his eyes as he scooted closer to Whizzer. "I did. I couldn't bring myself to get rid of it…" he rested his hand on Whizzer's shoulder. Whizzer got up and pulled away, throwing the picture back in the box. "Stop doing this, Marvin. You can't just reel me back in and act like nothing ever happened!" Marvin scoffed. "You're so immature its unreal! Get over it! It happened 2 fucking years ago!" Whizzer leaned against the wall. "You abandoned Jason and I. You abandoned your family…" Marvin sighed. "I know! But let it go Whizzer. I've changed." Whizzer tensed up. "So have I." He walked out the door to go for a walk. Marvin buried his head in his hands. "Dammit. Damnit. Damnit." Then he got a great idea. Whizzer returned at dark. Marvin was waiting at the dinner table with fresh food. A candle. And fresh roses. "Marvin?" Whizzer sighed and looked at him. "Whats all this?..."

Marvin took a deep breath. "I wanted a do over. Please forgive me. I miss you. I miss Jason." Whizzer sighed. "Marvin you can't just expect me to welcome you back like this.." Marvin smiled softly. "I don't expect it. Because you already have, softie. Now lets eat."

They ate in pure silence till a song came on the radio. Whizzers eyes lit up. "Our song-" Marvin smiled softly. "Care to dance?" Whizzer smiled and held his hand out to Marvin. They danced in the moonlight in the kitchen. Nothing to hear but their song and soft giggled emerging from Marvin who Whizzer kept bumping into. At the end they were too close for comfort. Marvin leaned in for a kiss and Whizzer pulled away from him. He was still scared to be reeled back in. "Im sorry…" Marvin sighed and moved a strand of hair out of Whizzer's face. "We should look through some of our old things." They went and sat on the couch with wine. Whizzer was all close to marvin. "Look! Jason's first practice. He was scared to death because you told him he'd get hit by the ball if he didn't swing." Marvin chuckled. "He was too scared to swing. So I gave him something to be scared about." Whizzer ran his finger over the picture with a smile. "We had good times." Marvin nodded in agreement. Whizzer sighed. "Marvin I love y-....I love these pictures…" Marvin sighed and leaned into Whizzers shoulder. "Remember the wedding...Jason chased after you with a piece of cake crumbled up in his hand trying to wipe it on you. I never saw you run so fast." Whizzer smiled and ran his hand over an old racquet. "I always won. I always will." Marvin sighed softly and kissed Whizzer's shoulder. "I always win when you're by my side." The moonlight made Whizzer look even more beautiful than before. Whizzer kissed Marvin gently but to his shock Marvin kissed back. "You're still a pretty boy." Marvin mumbled against him and got up. "Let's go out on the patio." Whizzer followed to which Whizzer was left in shock. "Marvin- you did all of this?" Marvin leaned against Whizzer. "Every kind of rose. I couldn't even get you off my mind. So...i did this." A few years went by of them warming back up to each other and today was the big day they said I do. But maybe some things weren't meant to be because the couple were laying up in a hospital due to a bout of illness that had come over Marvin. Whizzer was worried beyond repair. He wouldn't leave Marvin's side. It was late and this would probably be Marvin's last night with Whizzer. Their song came on the radio and Marvin looked at Whizzer. "One last dance?.." Whizzer helped Marvin up and danced with him in the moonlight. There was still so much left to do. God knows how long it would be before he was with his lover again. He would cherish all the moments like this. The ups and downs. Everything. It all mattered in their story.

Jason smiled at the end of telling his story to his students. "Their love never died. And so I made peace with losing my father and years later my other father. They're always watching me and I know they are proud of me." Jason was at the rightful age of 49. The age of his Father was when he died. He wouldn't die anytime soon, for he still had stories to tell of the two lovers who love was infinite.
