The youth,
Isn't it so sad how the youth
doesn't realize that
love isn't at all like it is in fairy-tells
movies
or books
Where the only problem they have is undying love,
So silly, the youth
No, in the real word
Love has sharp claws and fangs
That tear and rip away at your tinder flesh
At the emotions that lie beneath
Like vast oceans, who's mysteries may never be discovered
Taking away your last breath with greed
Layer after layer
Before reaching your soul
Taking chunks from it
again and again
until there is nothing left for it to claw and bite at.
Not even a sliver
or crumb
but,
That's not even the scary part
The scary part,
is that the wounds never close.
