It was a lovely afternoon in the kemono office , inugami as usual was filling up some papers about previous kemono incidents , shiki was sleeping on the couch , akira taking selfies in his room , while kabane is putting the groceries in the fridge

As he about to put away the plastic bag , a magazine caught his attention , the cover of the magazine is a feild of sunflowers , looking vibrant and bright to his eyes , he stared at it for a moment , he never seen a sunflower in person before , since ever since he was born,he  only work in the feilds,disposing the animal's dead bodies ,and getting what shiki called " bullied" by his own cousin

Sometimes he always wondered Does his aunt and cousin even missed him? Do they know that he was alive and healthy till this day?

He shook it off and went to where shiki and Mr inugami is

"Hm? What's wrong kabane? You've been looking at that magazine for a while now"the tanuki man asked

Kabane looked up towards mr inugami and put the magazine down on the table

"Its nothing" he replied , he sat down on the chair next shiki's and just... Stared at him

"Inugami san"

"Hm?" Inugami Asked as he looked towards kabane

"...can we... See this sunflowers sometime in the future?" He Asked

Inugami looked at the magazine and then looked at kabane and sighed

"Sure Bud , after you find your parents , let's go see some sunflowers with shiki and Akira"the tanuki man smiled as he looked back at the computer

Kabane nodded , as he looked at the magazine cover again , the sunflowers looked... Pretty...and somewhat Made his heart warm and fuzzy

"KYAAAA! Kabane kunn! Theres a cockroach in our room!!" Akira shouted in fear as he jumped towards kabane and Hugged him tight

"Where?"he Asked

"OUR ROOM! KILL IT PLEASE!"Akira cried as he still hugging kabane , kabane stood up and Walked up to their room ,Akira following behind him

Kabane looked around the room , nothing. He looked at Akira with a Confused look

"I swear i see it! It landed on my phone- NOOOO I ACCIDENTLY THREW MY PHONE AGAINST THE WALL!!" Yelled Akira as he look for his phone, when he found it , his phone has a giant crack across the screen ,Akira cried on the floor

Kabane looked under the pillows and there it is , the small cockroach Akira talked about , he quickly catches it and threw it away to the nearby window

"There, all taken care of Akira" kabane said in a monotone voice, Akira turned around with tears in his eyes , and Hugged kabane

"thank you kabane Kun! You're a Hero!!" Akira shouted happily

Kabane only stood there accepting the hug from his friend

"Hey hey kabane Kun! Let's prepare dinner!" Akira said happily as he grabbed kabane's hand and Walked towards the kitchen , kabane only nodded and stayed quiet till they Made it to the kitchen
