Another Fresh New Start to Another High school
As I walk downstairs I see Austin and Mom eating
"Morning" I say as I walk over to the fridge
"Morning Peach" Georgia says as she smiles at me
"You excited Austin?" I say as I the milk
"A little, but I'm also nervous" He says as he looks down at his food
"Hey don't be, I'll always be there for you buddy" I tell him while getting out a bowl
"Where Ginny?" Georgia says
"I go wake her up" I say as I put down the milk
"No it's ok I'll go see, you hurry up and eat if you want a ride" She says as she walks up the stairs yelling Ginnys name
"Are you scared y/n/n" Austin says as he see me as I took a bite of my cereal
"No I'm not" I say in between bites
"Why aren't you?" He says while he takes a bite of his pankcake
"A little someone told me, Fear is your weakness" I say as I put my bowl in the sink and rinse it
"Huh" He says as he hands me his plate
"Trust me, you'll get better at it" I say as I wash the plate
"Okay are you two ready?" Georgia says as she walks into the kitchen
"Yeah I am- wait is Ginny not coming?" I say as I dry my hands
"No she woke up late and said she walk to school" Georgia says as she grabs the car keys

"Ohhhhh" She says as she pretends to be hurt. I smile at their fun behavior, I hug Austin and go down where my lip is right by his ear
"Now let me know who messin with my little brother, I won't be scared to come kick some ass you know" I say as I straighten myself out, Austin giving me a nod starts to walk to the doors and waves at me and Georgia
"Now do you want a ride or do you want to walk to school" Georgia says
"No it's fine I'll walk, I have to finish something as well" I say as I start to walk away from her
"BYEEE LOVE YOU MOM" I say as I pop in my headphones
"BYE Y/N,STAY OUT OF TROUBLE" She yells back and waves. I chuckle at what she says and start to look for my song I been working on, I just need one more part and then I'm good to go I say to myself . As I finish the part I'm stuck on I notice I'm already at the school, I sigh and put my phone away and walk into the building. As I'm walking around I see Ginny standing by the bathroom, I run up to her and grab her shoulders
"Ahh y/n why did you scare me" She says as she pushes me off. I crack a smile and start to walk
"Are you coming or not?" I say as I start to walk to the Office. She follows me and we reach the office, I walk up to the desk and ring the bell. Seconds later a middle age women comes up to us
"Ahh you must me the Millers, here are your schedule, let me know if you have any questions" she says as she takes a seat in her chair. Me and Ginny are both looking through our schedule and only see we have one class and the same lunch time together
"Well we better get going eh" I say as I start to find the room.
"Virginia and Y/n I should warn you, we have a fast way of working in AP English, These students take it very seriously, so if my class proves to be to much for you, I suggest you do yourselves a favor and move down to regular English, understood, we are doing a total of 16 books this term"The male teacher says as he hands us a paper and points to the two desk next to each other
"Welcome back students, over there you'll find two of your new classmates Y/n and Virginia, I trust you to make them feel both welcome" He says as he stands infront of the class
"It's Ginny" Ginny says as she tries to speak up
"Ok yeah I know it's our first day back form summer break, but this is an excellent time for a pop quiz , you were all assigned to do a summer reading " The crucible", today I will be finding out who did the summer reading and who did not do it, those of you who didn't do it, well you are in for a world of pain- oh don't worry y/n and Virginia, I expect you guys you have never read it before" He says as she stars to pass out papers. I put on a fake smile and raise my hand
"Yes Miss y/n, you have a question?" He says as he never looks me in the eyes
"Oh yes in matter of fact I do, I just was looking on the paper you gave us before class, there are 16 books on this sheet- yes like I said you can always drop down- 14 are written by men, 15 where written by white people and I'm guessing the one black author that wrote the book won't be until black history month, am I right or no, feel free to correct me- Excuse me?" I say
" We are both serious about our education Mr, Gitten, and I'm worried that we might internalize an ideology that the main viewpoint, the viewpoint worth studying in class, the viewpoint of the greats is the only that of the white male thus eradicating my voice as immaterial" Ginny says, I see people laughing at Mr. Gitten from being told off by me and Ginny
"And Finally Im worried We both won't be stimulated intellectually, and also we both have read " The crucible, and we are both confident about taking the quiz" I say as I look at him dead in the eye
"Are you through y/n, Virginia?" he says as he looks defeated
"No, and please call me Ginny" Ginny says as she places her hand against her check.
" Well I don't know what happen at your last school Ginny, but at this school, we don't tolerate political outbursts and grandstanding at the expense of your peers class time" He says as he start to get red, soon after his is finished with his motivation speech a girl with a hot pink jacket raises her hand
"Yes Maxine?" He says with a bit attitude
" Hello yes I'm like also super concerned about my subconscious digestion of the superiority of the white male perspective, and finally I have period cramps, so can I go to the nurse" She says as she gives the teacher a fake smile, Soon everyone is chuckling
"Ok that's it, for the rest of the class we will be silent and take the pop quiz" He says as Maxine gives me and Ginny a genuine smile and claps, Ginny smiles and looks down, while I pop in a earbud

"You never heard of the Band Wednesday?" I hear a male speak, I look out of my locker and see a boy talking to Ginny
"Uhh yeha I have, they have that one song" She says as she continues to put books in her locker
"No they don't, they don't even exist, I just grab the first shirt I saw" He says as he smiles
"Whatever" She says as she looks back down
"Hey I met your mom last night" He says
"Well she can be very friendly" she says as she makes full eye contact with him
"Hmm she asked me for weed, she wasn't that friendly" He says
"Ahh so your the person my mom got the weed from" I say as I walk up behind Ginny
"Jesus Y/n how many times are you going to scare me" Ginny says as she puts her hand on her chest
5 seconds of awkwardness until Maxine walk up to us
" Marcus Be gone" She says as she try's to shoo him away
"See you around neighbor" He says as he looks at me again and wink

Sorry about Marcus, he an asshole" She says as she lends against the locker
"Total asshole" Ginny says as she crosses her arm
"Yeah, well he is my twin brother" She says as she nods her head
"Oh I'm sorry, I- no no I'm sorry. I should of strangled him with my umbilical cord in the womb and done humanity a solid" She says as she smiles and walks off
"Are you guys coming" She says
"Nah I wanna explore this place more" I say as I side hug Ginny
