Kou anxiously fiddled with his hands. Today, he and Mitsuba were sitting outside on a deck, watching the sun go down. The orange,dusky colored sky shined the beautiful boy next to him. Kou clenched his hands as he looked down at the greenish brown deck they sat on. Kou gently sighed, working up the courage to speak what was on his mind. He lifted his head and turned to the kind sweet ghost sitting next to him.
"Mitsuba, I-" the words clogged his throat as the most beautiful person in the entire world turned to look at him.
"Mm?" questioned Mitsuba tilting his head.
"Well... I uhm it's nothing actually ."
Every part of him, every movement he made, made Kou want to kiss him and never let go of him . The exorcist's eyes drifted towards Mitsuba's hand next to him. It looked so soft and delicate, and Kou couldn't stop wondering how it would feel to hold it. Kou fiddled again and cleared his throat, determined to tell Mitsuba exactly what he wanted to say.
"A-actually, Mistuba, There is something I wanna give you . Th-this is for you," Kou stuttered , looking away a blushing mess. In both of his hand, he held out a small box, decorated with gold lining.
Mitsuba laughed . "What's this, you pervert?"
"just open it!" the blond boy yelled out softly, Mitsuba opened the box. Inside there was a beautifully decorated necklace ,with a beautiful strawberry charm. And a few things of candy
Mistuba's heart began to race. Why was Kou giving him such a beautiful gift? Surely it couldn't be because...
"Pfft!" Mitsuba said , trying to calm his thoughts into sarcasm, "what the hell is this? You Lame-Ass-Traffic-Safety-Earring!" Mitsuba kept his smug expression on his face until looked beside him. He turned and saw Kou, struggling to keep a smile on his face.
"what is it?" asked Mitsuba. Maybe he'd gone a step too far...
Kou swallowed. "It's nothing."
"What is it?" asked Mitsuba again, more curious and stubborn
"I told you, it's nothing!" replied Kou trying not to shed a tear
"C'mon minamoto what is-"
Kou turned and grabbed Mitsuba's hands , staring into his eyes with a blush spread across Mitsuba face he had never expected to see. "It's because I like you!
Mitsuba blushed. "Wha I uhm!"
Kou turned away, sighing. "I like you. I've liked you for a long time."
Mitsuba blushed more over the thoughts . "But, but I'm a ghost , and a boy! Why would you like me?!"
"It..uhm ....it doesn't matter." The ghost smiled slightly
"It does matter! because I well.. I like you too!"
Mitsuba turned and kissed Kou . He had never kissed someone before,. They fit together perfectly, like they were always meant to be. as they kissed it felt like love..
They finally broke apart, Kou panting from the long kiss.
Kou blinked a couple times, then began to giggle. Mitsuba started to laugh with him
Will you always love me forever?
Yeah....
They smiled, and leaned in for another kiss.
