Eloise

Particles floated around each one of us as we all took turns dropping down the rope inside of the hole, It was dark with a hue of blue coming from the headlights beaming down from outside. "Holy shit," Steve said looking around in amazement. We're inside of Will's drawing, his actual drawing. It was insane and felt so eery that no words could explain the emptiness these tunnels felt.

"This is Will's drawing." I softly chuckle in amazement. "Yeah, it's pretty identical," Dustin said shining his light around. "I'm pretty sure it's this way." Mike shined his flashlight down on the paper. "You're pretty sure, or you're certain?" Dustin walked over to him. He checked the paper and turned around "I'm one hundred percent sure. Just follow me and you'll know." he yelled due to his mask covering his face. They all began walking to the left of the tunnels leaving Steve and me behind making us rush over and grabbing the paper out of his hands "Not too fast buddy," I grabbed his shoulder. "If any of you little shits die down here, it's going to be blamed on the two of us." Steve implied. "You got it, dipshit?

"Hey, be nice." I nudged his shoulder and he brushed me off and looked back at the four kids "From here on out, Eloise and I will be leading the way. If any of you get lost... well, you're on your own."

I shook my head and let him go first making sure each kid got in front of me before I followed beside Max, making sure not to let her out of my sight. "A little hustle!" Steve shouted turning a corner "Calm down, we can only go so fast!" I yelled back causing him to scoff which echoed through the tunnels.

These walls kept on growing and longing as we walked further in the dark area and the moving of the vines sounded so slimy that it felt like it was touching you. "Hey," I look down at Max catching her attention "I'm sorry you had to see all that back at the house." I apologized. She took a deep breath looking ahead of her and coming to a stop "He's never been like that towards you before. I've never seen him so angry at you other than yelling and starting up shit at home." I didn't understand the violence Billy approached me with not too long ago. Our father gets him so worked up that he snaps, yet, he hasn't gotten that physical before. Especially towards me. "I'll make sure to talk to him about you and Lucas hanging out. He shouldn't be telling you who or who not to be hanging out with outside of our home. It's not his business."

"Don't worry," she wrapped her arms together "I already took care of it when you passed out." I looked at her in shock as well as surprised hearing what she just said. "I'll tell you lat-" she was cut off by screams coming from Dustin down in the distance causing my heart rate to spike up which made me hurry down the tunnel making sure to grab ahold of Max's hand and drag her along with me until we saw Dustin laying on the ground yelling shit repeatedly. "What happened?" Steve asked worried as Dustin began to spit "It's in my mouth! It got in my mouth!" he screamed.

Coughing he turned around and spit whatever he could out away from the group. "Shit!" and all of a sudden he stopped. "You alright?" I kneeled to him and rubbed his back. He looked at me pursing his lips "I'm okay." he then smiled which made me roll my eyes in relief "Oh my, God." I pushed myself up with my knees and helped him up. Groans from the group went around with annoyance while they walked away down a hill before reaching a big opening "All right, Wheeler.  I think we found your hub."

Mike dropped the can of gasoline "Let's drench it."

And that's what we did.

We covered the walls top to bottom making sure no inch was left without having that pungent smell people either hate or love. Our feet sloshed around as we threw our empty cans into the open area before running out. "All right, you guys ready?" Steve bent down holding a lighter  "Ready." each of them agreed in unison.
