A careless word may kindle strife,
A cruel word may wreck a life,
A timely word may level stress,
A living word may heal and bless.
An angry word may lose a friend,
A careful word may make amends,
A whispered word may never be heard,
A gentle word may be preferred.
The wrong word can end a man,
A forgotten word can break a plan,
A postponed word could lose the girl,
The lying word could trick and unfurl.
Two words take you down the isle,
A little sentence could make you smile,
And of all else above,
Three little words could bring you love.
