▹ We can trust her

The Maknae Line had a death wish.

George had decided that it was time to properly introduce Chungha to his group members. They already knew each other well but things were different now that she was George's girlfriend. The boys wanted to properly get to know her, which she immediately agreed to much to George's dismay.

It's not that he wanted to keep her from them but that's exactly what he wanted to do because he knew that they had the full power to expose him in front of her and that's exactly what Jimin was doing.

It started off calm with the boys asking questions and joking around but then the Maknae line decided it was time to start acting up, ignoring any of George's silent attempts to get them to shut the hell up.

"Shooting daggers at them from afar won't make them stop." Jin stood beside George, who was glaring at his members from the kitchen, knuckles white from the tight grip he had on the mug in his hand. 

"They're embarrassing me."

"You do that enough on your own," Yoongi chimed in, leaning against the counter top as he took a swig of his drink.

George scowled. "Nobody was talking to you."

"Yet you still responded," Yoongi fired back, looking utterly unbothered.

George was about to jump over the counter and tackle his member to the ground when he heard the sweet sound of his girlfriend calling his name. His eyes instantly softened and a love struck expression washed over his gaze.

"Coming!" He called back before turning to Yoongi, pointing an accusing finger in his direction. "You got lucky."

He pushed away from the counter top and headed towards his girlfriend, sitting in the empty seat beside her.

Jin and Yoongi both watched as he threw an arm around her shoulder and sweetly pecked her on the cheek. His smile never faded, not even when Jungkook called him a simp.

"He really likes her," Jin observed, keeping his voice down.

Yoongi nodded and took another sip of his beverage. He didn't let it show, but there was an overwhelming sense of pride blooming within him. He was so happy for George, and so proud that he was finally allowing himself to love.

"What do we do if she hurts him? I don't think he'd handle it..."

Jin had always felt protective of George. As much as the younger hates to admit it, George is vulnerable especially when it comes to love and as nice as Chungha seemed, there was still that worry there.

Yoongi couldn't deny, he felt it too. The whole group did, they were wary but equally, they all knew that George was an adult and he could handle his own. And if he did get his heartbroken, they would be there to pick up the pieces.

"We just have to have faith that she won't. She makes him happy, and by the looks of it, she seems happy with him."

Back over at the sofa, George had his arm wrapped loosely around Chungha's shoulder and her head was tucked into his shoulder as his members told her different stories about all the trips they have been on and adding in some of the embarrassing things George has done.

"There was this time, Selena Gomez had asked him out and he rejected her and so that went viral but the only thing he cared about was the fact that his hot dog went cold whilst talking to her."

George's body tensed up, not sure on how Chungha would react to the whole Selena Gomez asking him out situation. Their relationship was new and so he wasn't yet sure on how she would react to things like that. Was she the jealous type? Did she not care? Was she going to break up with him because of it?

Much to his surprise, she simply gasped and turned her head to look at him.

"So you turned down Selena Gomez but agreed to date me?" She asked in shock.

"Don't say it like it's so shocking," he told her, pressing a kiss to her nose. "I'd date you over anyone."

"What about Lachlan?" She stared at him expectantly.

George pretended to look offended. "I'd obviously choose Lachlan, that mans is my husband."

Chungha rolled her eyes and slapped her hand against his chest but George only held her tighter and kissed her forehead.

Pulling away, George glanced behind to look at the kitchen and found Jin, Yoongi and now Namjoon watching him fondly. They all have him a smile, to which he returned.

"Yeah, I think he's with the right one," Namjoon commented quietly, looking so prideful as he watched Chungha move some strands of hair out of George's face before sweetly kissing his nose.

"We can trust her."
