One more step I said to myself for what feels like the fourth time. The edge was so close and from one glance below you could see the rushing cars, the very few city trees, the people minding their own business. Is this really what I want? I've been asking myself this question for what feels like so long, ever since the thoughts got bad. I took another step, my toes being just over the edge. I was just so tired, I've been thinking of this for months and now I'm finally here. That was all I needed before stepping off. The adrenaline rushed, I knew I was falling very fast, but it felt so slow, I closed my eyes. Darkness. I smiled softly as I got closer to the ground, it looked so soft. The ground got closer and closer, time went faster and faster. Once I was about to hit the ground, I closed my eyes and that's when it happened..
I woke up.
I wish more than ever that for once, it wasn't just a dream.
