Principal Cadance was in the baby room by herself. She was standing near the baby bed that had her daughter Flurry Heart in it. Flurry was wrapped up in a blanket. "I wonder how Shining Armor is keeping up with the preparations for the Crystal Fair? To see if everything, is going all smoothly? I sure, hope so?"
Flurry was sleeping, taking a nap. But, was startled when she woke up. "Flurry!"
Flurry began crying really loudly. "What's wrong? My little snow princess?"
As Cadance looked around her surroundings in the room. Her mouth dropped, when she saw a bunch of dark crystals growing from the ground. Tall black crystals started to form around Flurry's bed, almost cornering her. "What's going on!? Oh no! FLURRY HEART!"
Starlight Glimmer's eyes widened when she stopped walking in the hallway as she heard Cadance's desperate calls for help. "Help! Someone help! Me and Flurry Heart are trapped!"
"That's Principal Cadance!" Starlight bolted to the door, where she heard the voice coming from.
"Help!" Cadance quickly took Flurry out of the bed, before the crystals started to grow even bigger in size. She held her close to her chest to protect her from harm, as crystals were beginning to surround them.
Flurry began sobbing more. "It's okay, Flurry. Everything will be alright, sweetie. Somehow?"
Starlight turned the doorknob. "Ugh! Why won't this open!?" She felt frustrated. The door couldn't open because crystals were blocking the entrance. "It looks like I have to use my magic. There is no other way."
Cadance and Flurry were both trapped in the room by themselves, with no way out. It was just a crystallized room.
"Principal Cadance! I'm coming to save you! Don't you worry!" Starlight shouted, to the other side. She raised her hand up, opening the door to the side with her magic.
"Starlight Glimmer?" Cadance said. "It's a good thing that you are here. Because me and Flurry are trapped in this room. I don't know why? But, these dark crystals came out of nowhere and keep on growing. Please hurry."
Starlight raised both of her hands in the air. "It's okay. Leave it to me. I will get you and your daughter out of here fast!" A purple magic aura removed the crystals blocking the doorway. She then made the other crystals disappear. "Come on. Let's go! Now, is our chance!" She walked up to Cadance in the room.
"We got to act fast!" Cadance said. "Who knows what might be going on now in Crystal Prep?" She ran out of the door, while holding Flurry with both her hands.
Starlight ran with her in the hallway. "I have a feeling that something is wrong with the Crystal Fair. We must go see and warn the others, while we still can."
"I think we should evacuate. Luckily, I don't think there is much people here inside." Cadance said. "Did you come here with anyone?"
"Yes, I did. I--" Starlight was cut off when she heard a familiar voice.
"Starlight. Starlight!" Spike ran in the hallway. "Where are you?"
"Spike! I'm so happy to see you!"
"Huh? Starlight! There you are! I've been looking all over you so you and Sunburst can--why are you with Principal Cadance? And Flurry Heart? Did anything happen, while I was gone?" Spike was concerned.
